American Airlines’ refurbished 777-200 jets have comfortable seating for passengers flying business class – especially if you plan on flying alone. The seats are perfect for those trying to work in flight, and also for the passenger who would like to catch some shut-eye before reaching their destination.
The seats alternate between forward facing and rear facing, which allows you to choose your personal preference. If you’re familiar with American’s herringbone configuration, you’ll notice some similarities in the seating arrangement. If you are traveling with someone, making conversation with them will be a little difficult.
Within the seats you’ll enjoy a large tray and armrest space, a variety of outlets for your various electronics, and a small ottoman to stretch your legs comfortably, and a small storage unit. You also have the option to fully recline your seat so you can enjoy a bed during those extra-long flights or red eyes, which for many can be an important factor when flying.
Along with other American Airlines long-haul flights, Wi-Fi is available in the 777-200 jets, and pricing is relative to the other flights. The only downfall you may notice on these jets, is the awkward seating arrangement depending on where your seat is. Each of the two seats (forward facing and then rear facing beside you) are connected, which means when the person beside you makes a sudden movement, you’ll likely feel it. Also in some cases you may be awkwardly looking at the person sitting across from you.
